It is what the French would call a blanc de noir - a white wine made from white grapes so they've called it WHITE FROM BLACK.
Bright gold in colour, the nose is packed full of ripe summer berries, toasted and buttery patisserie derived in part from 9 % reserve wines and 13 % fermentation in neutral oak barrels. On the palate, the wine is energised and focused with a bright acidity that is perfectly supported by a structure and creaminess that is thanks to 30 % partial malolactic fermentation of the base wines and 5 years lees ageing. The dosage integrates to provide a generous and luxuriously long finish. Think ripe summer berry crumble served with cream and you won’t be far off.
