Few gins are defined by their geography, geology and native flora, but Twisted Nose Gin is one clear exception - it could not be made anywhere else.
Our small batch gin combines ten botanicals including watercress native to Hampshire's clear, meandering chalk streams to create a spirit that is intense, fragrant and very refreshing.
The fresh watercress, which grows at the distillery, adds sweet herbaceous notes and a peppery sparkle to the finish that lifts a gin and tonic to new heights. We think it's the most refreshing gin we've ever tasted (but perhaps we're just a little biased).
After distillation we dilute the strong spirit to bottling strength with our own spring water extracted on site. This is the same mineral-rich water that has filtered through the chalk of the South Downs to feed the ancient river systems and watercress beds of the region.
The Romans knew watercress as Nasturtium, literally translated as “twisted nose”, after which which our gin takes its name.
Serve with a good tonic and twist of pink grapefruit for the perfect gin and tonic or with Vermouth for an amazing Martini.
